Mary realised that the creations we had seen around the Icelandair Hotels would not fit in the luggage, so we settled for some photos.
The trek to the airport, 50 km SW out of Reykjavik, was through the landscape typical of the active areas; with 75% of the population living along this active Reykjanes Ridge region. Quite a few geothermal power plants on the way.
A last cinder cone for the photo album...
On reflection, I was rather harsh about the Keflavik airport. Looks good coming in through the front.
Fortunately, a short 2.5 hour flight to London. It will take us nearly as long to get from Heathrow to Kate's apartment in London.
